How do you know if STRENGTH Series is for you?

STRENGTH Series is for humans who are wanting MORE from life! Who are wanting to know they are not alone in their trauma and struggles. Who are wanting to hear how one chose to grow through their struggles and to maybe take some of those nuggets and begin their own journey. Who are wanting to connect within themselves on a deeper level and with others. Who are ready to SLOW DOWN and BE PRESENT.

The unique part about STRENGTH Series is every session throughout the year GROWS off of the last one- how cool! You will be setting goals! You will be hearing stories that will MOTIVATE you! You will be held accountable to the standards and values you set for yourself! You will feel SAFE to spread your wings and learn how to PROTECT YOUR PEACE. And please know, you might want to SHOW UP, slow down, listen, not share, and be still. You get to SHOW UP as you. It is an incredible experience!

When you SHOW UP for STRENGTH Series, Jess wants you to come comfortable and COZY! SHOW UP in whatever that looks like for you- you will be sitting, eating, journaling, and finishing the day retreat with a 2.5 mile hike in the woods along the river bluffs!

STRENGTH Series is a day for YOU! It is a day to SHOW UP AS YOU ARE; vulnerable, comfortable, and ready for joy, laughs, tears, and learning nuggets that will DRIVE and IGNITE movement for your LIFE- pretty damn cool!

Welcome to STRENGTH Series where you will find the strength in yourself through others brave stories of sharing trauma and how they chose to persevere.

As with strength training, the goal with progression overload is to grow and get stronger over time- that same mentality goes with STRENGTH Series, each session will BUILD off each other and in turn, help you continue to GROW.

When you SHOW UP for STRENGTH Series, you will be hearing life changing stories that will inspire you! Maybe bring you some tears! Maybe excite you to one day share your own story! Provide you with learning nuggets to take with you in your life! Bring you strength and confidence to make a change! What you will get from each series WILL BE life changing! Wear your “cottons” which means, SHOW UP in whatever you are MOST comfortable to lounge in and enjoy the ride, my friends!

STRENGTH Series day retreat itinerary:

  • coffee and vegan breakfast

  • grateful list activity

  • 1-2 lessons on the topic of the retreat

  • 2-3 speakers who will share their story and be open for Q&A afterwards

  • Vegan POWER BOWLS for FUEL

  • a 2.5 mile outdoor hike for steps, mindfulness, and grounding

  • sound bath meditation

You will be receiving/provided with the following:

  • a folder with a Boundaries and Protection book by Pixie Lighthourse

  • a journal to use throughout the session to record your learning nuggets and for your goal session

  • life changing stories through hand-picked speakers

  • a guided hike along the bluffs

  • coffee, water with electrolytes, breakfast and power bowls for lunch

Jess has been facilitating groups on boundaries, trauma, addiction, and relationships for over ten years; most of her work has been focused around women who came through the criminal justice system, lost, beaten down, and have lost their self of worth and didn’t even recognize the person they had become.

Jess shortly realized the same lessons she had been facilitating behind bars to the men and women, were the same lessons she was teaching while lifting barbells and dumbbells with her training clients- bottom line, we ALL go through trauma, have struggles, and have the CHOICE to PERSEVERE.

STRENGTH Series is a day retreat where all you have to do is SHOW UP, be present, be open, and be excited to start finding out WHO you are, what you want for yourself, and find new ways to move through hard things.

FAQ:

1) where is STRENGTH Series located? Schaar’s Bluff Gathering Center, 8395 127th St. E, Hastings, MN 55033

2) what is the time frame for the day? The retreat begins at 9am and will end around 3/3:30pm

3) can I bring my own food? 1000% yes! You will be provided breakfast and lunch, with coffee and water on-site. Please feel free to bring whatever else YOU want.
